I’ve always felt a connection to Van Gogh’s Starry Night and thought that this would be a perfect opportunity to do a collab with one of my beloved Studio Ghibli’s movies, My Neighbor Totoro.
In my interpretation, this painting represents hope in the midst of a search for ones’ self – regardless of our state of mental health.
This painting took many hours to complete given the numerous details required, but it was well worth every minute. I’m so happy with how it turned out.
